New Delhi, Jun 15: India is growing in the technological sphere is the byproduct of enhancing the educational atmosphere in India. India is taking many special initiatives for improvement of education.
Taking this commitment on another level, Union Minister for Human Resource Development Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ chaired a meeting with Directors of all Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) in New Delhi yesterday.
Minister of State for HRD, Sanjay Dhotre was also present on the occasion.
Pokhriyal said," The country is proud of the heads of institutions because the institutions led by them are known for quality education, innovation and research".
The Minister congratulated the heads of the institutions for the good work and hoped that these institutions will make India a global leader in the education sector.
Dr. Nishank said that the position of a Director is very significant for any institution and they have to lead the new generation towards excellence.
The Minister added that we should work hard in the future to make these institutions, the centers of excellence at the global level.
The Minister directed the heads of institutions to make one-year and five-year plan for holistic development.
Dr. Nishank said that Institutions like IITs and IIITs are foundation stones in making a New India.
The Minister also reviewed the infrastructure and human resource of newly established IITs and IIITs. The Minister assured to extend maximum support to them by the Ministry.
