New Delhi, June 21: “hedgewar was in question that who made India a slave? He was of the strong view that unless and until we eradicate the root causes of our slavery, we can’t eternize our freedom. The seed sown by Dr. Hedgewar to forget the self and devote to nation has now turned into a big tree,” said Union Minister and Senior BJP Leader Amit Shah paying tribute to the founder member of RSS Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on his 79th death anniversary today.

 

“RSS founder Dr. Hedgewar was not only a great visionary but also a master of team building. He continues to inspire millions even after 79 years of his last death,” said Vijay Chauthaiwale.

 
The morning of 21st June 1940 was a grievous one for Indians. Dr. Hedgewar, after attending the Sandh Shiksha Varg few days before, left the earth on June 21 in Nagpur. While addressing to Swayamsevaks of Sangh Shiksha Varg, he had said that “I see before my eyes today a miniature Hindu Rashtra’’. Hedgewar was described as ‘a great son of mother India’ by the former president Pranav Mukhrji. Most of the leaders of India paid tribute to Dr. Hedgewar today.
