Amaravati, June 26: Authorities took no time to flatten the splendid government building Praja Vedika after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered on Tuesday to demolish the building claiming it an ‘illegally constructed one’.

JCBs are crumbling down parts of the building since last night and Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a high drama. A large number of policemen have been deployed at the place. Andhra’s Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has planned to finish the demolition today.

Meanwhile, former Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu, who was holidaying with his family, returned yesterday night from Europe. The demolition took place after the Andhra High Court turned down a plea to issue stay orders and adjourned the hearing by two weeks. The petition had alleged the demolition was the waste of money.
