UP: Large scale transfer in jail department; 21 jailers and 44 deputy jailers changed

Lucknow, June 28: Uttar Pradesh witnessed large scale transfers in the Jail department. 21 jailers and 44 deputy jailers were transferred. The transfers have been done on the basis of transfer policy and smooth administration.


 

DG Jail, Anand Kumar told that the action taken for the transfer has been done in the time of which the tenure has been completed in one jail and there are some who have been transferred on an administrative basis.

The Central and District Jailers of the Central and District Jails have been changed in the Central Jail, Agra, Naini, Bareli, District Jail, Fatehpur, Kheri, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Shahjahanpur, Bijnor, Mainpuri, Aligarh, Basti, Moradabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Fatehgarh, Ballia, Agra, Sonbhadra, The prisoners of Ghazipur and Bareilly are included. Two prisoners of central prison Naini have been removed.

Similarly, 44 deputy jailers have also been transferred. It has been done on personal request transfer of seven and on personal request transfer of 15. Transfer of the rest has been done due to the time being completed in a prison.

The state government transferred 15 IAS officers on Thursday night. Senior IAS officer Devesh Chaturvedi, who returned from central deputation, has been made the principal secretary of housing and urban planning department.
