New Delhi, June 4: After the loops around of newly released song by the Environment Ministry for June 5, ‘Thodi hawa aane de, Tazi hawa aane de...Thodi hawa aane de, Tazi hawa aane de...’, the government has stepped ahead to launch a new program named ‘Selfie with sapling’.
 
 
“We have launched a program for people to plant a sapling and click a selfie with it and post it as hastag ‘selfie with sapling’. I'm sure people of India will celebrate Global Environment Day with lot of enthusiasm”, said Environment Minister Prakash Javdekar.
The Ministry on the occasion of World Environment Day tomorrow has organised a programme at the Paryavaran Bhawan in the national capital where the authorities will be planting a tree for the environmental cause. Former captain of Indian Cricket team Kapil Dev and Bollywood Actor Jackie Shroff are also likely to participate at the national capital.
The WED theme for this year, set by the United Nations Environment Programme, is Air Pollution, a much-needed theme for awareness and action in India. This is set to raise global awareness among people about the environmental issues and take aligned positive environmental actions.
 
Focussing to bring people together at one track to deal and combat with the climate changes and improve the management of forests, the day this time will be celebrated with many creative activities such as tree plantation, cultural activities, rallies in various parts of the nation, highlighting environment concerns.
