Washington, July 18: On the morning of July 16, 1969, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins lifted off for the moon. Four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin set foot on the moon’s surface, the first of 12 American astronauts to complete this feat. The story of Apollo 11 never really gets old, nor does seeing pictures of the amazing scenes that surrounded it. The three heroes, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins were prepared to undertake the historic mission, lifted off for the moon on July 16, 1969.
And they left to take breathe on the Moon surface! Apollo 11 astronauts Aldrin, Collins, and Armstrong leaving crew quarters to enter the Astrovan for the ride to Launch Pad 39A.
And finally, Apollo 11 lifted off from Launch Pad 39A to begin humanity’s first attempt at a lunar landing! An estimated one million people gathered on the beaches of central Florida to witness first-hand the launch of Apollo 11, while more than 500 million people around the world watched the event live on television.

A goodbye to earth... the crew then headed towards the Moon.
Finally, the trio of Astronauts touched the lunar land where Neil Armstrong and Buzz spent a total of 21.5 hours on the moon while Collins orbited 30 times above in the Command Module.
