Mumbai, July 2: Heavy rains in Mumbai and adjoining areas on Tuesday flooded the city roads, further crippling the rail lines. However, people while striving to save their lives, assembled the spirit of going through this just fine as always.

From posting messages on social media platforms offering help to actually stopping their vehicles mid-road to give lifts to the stranded, the Mumbaikars turned warm around the gloomy and wet weather; helping the masses amid the Malad wall collapse incident this morning.

Expressing grief over the said incident Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis met the 13 injured and ensured preventive medical assessment in the minimum possible time. “In the incident 18 died and 13 were injured. They're from Jharkhand and MP. State government will give all required assistance. We've ordered a probe in this matter. This wall was old and collapsed as a tree fell on it”, he said.
“There was heavy rainfall in Mumbai last night which led to accidents. In Malad, wall collapsed. I met them. Local trains are operational on Western line but yet to resume on Central line as there's more flooding there. Work is underway to pump out the water”, he added.

“Police department and the Disaster Management under BMC are on alert and are busy helping people. Barring a few places, overall traffic has been under control”, CM Fadnavis signed off. In the light of IMD's prediction, the state had declared a holiday in schools and colleges last night and for offices this morning.
