Bangkok, July 25: In Thailand International Boxing Tournament, six Indian pugilists stormed into semi-finals yesterday. Now, 8 pugilist at the Thailand Open and 6 pugilist at the 23rd President Cup, Indonesia have assured medals as they reached the semi-finals of both the tournaments.

India’s former junior world champion Nikhat Zareen (51 kg) recorded a 5-0 triumph over Uzbekistan's Sitora Shogdarova in women's draw. Asian silver-medallist Deepak Singh (49 kg) took barely a couple of minutes to leave his rival Samak Saehan of Thailand in the men's draw, with a bloodied forehead, forcing a stoppage in the first round itself.
Ashish (69kg), Manju Rani (48kg), Brijesh Yadav (81kg) and Mohammed Husammuddin (56kg) also advanced to the medal round.
