New Delhi, July 27: Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju yesterday received the Special Olympics Torch came from Singapore.
The Minister received the Olympics Torch from the Chairman of the Special Olympics International Football Championship, Dr. Amar Prasad Reddy in New Delhi. The championship will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai from August 3 to August 6.
Speaking on the occasion, Kiren Rijiju said, “For human beings, life is incomplete without sports. The government will fully support the Special Olympics and international football championships in Chennai.”
The Minister also announced cash prize for winners of Abu Dhabi games.
