Srinagar, July 3: Giving a befitting reply by entering and eliminating terrorists, India’s defence force has given a clear message of ‘Never Mess with the Best’ to its neighbouring country. Being vigilant and alert as always, the Indian Air force has decided on planning a major exercise in Jammu and Kashmir. The major drill exercise is to taken on to check responses by IAF in case neighbouring Pakistan plans any other misadventures.

In a retaliating response to Indian Air Force’s Balakot air strike, the Pakistani Air Force had attempted an attack on Indian Army positions on February 27, 2019. The drill will check response time of the fighter aircraft fleet and the fleets will carry out an extensive drill over entire Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh divisions.

The Squadrons of Su-30MKi from Punjab and Haryana and Mirage 2000 aircraft will take part in the drills. This will be in coordination with the air defence units of the Army deployed along the border and other combat elements of ground forces.

The Indian Air Force had conducted a similar exercise on March 14. During the exercise, the Force carried out a major readiness exercise over Punjab and Jammu in which a large number of fighter aircrafts participated. There were Indian Air Force (IAF) jets, including frontline aircraft, flew at supersonic speeds in the border districts including Amritsar in Punjab.

The reason for carrying out the combat drill was to be prepared for thwarting any misadventure by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to intrude into the Indian air space, the sources said. The IAF was on a high alert then since it carried out air strikes on a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist camp in Balakot town of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunwa province on February 26.
