Playgoers, now pay less to watch brilliant human drama of a mathematician; CM Fadnavis declares 'Super 30' tax free in MH

Mumbai, July 31: Post being declared tax free in the states of Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, the Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Super 30, that is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar, has been declared tax free in Maharashtra as well.
 
 
The State Cabinet in its decision on Tuesday announced to exempt the film from the state GST which now calls the viewers to pay only half of the indirect tax, totally belonging to the Central Government.
 
Thanking the Maharashtra government, Anand Kumar, the mathematician tweeted saying, "It felt very good when Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, congratulated me for the film ‘Super 30' during a formal meeting. The best thing was that he declared the film tax free. Thank you from the core of my heart”.
Meanwhile Hrithik, who portrays Anand in the film, also thanked CM Fadnavis for his gestures of appreciation. "With utmost gratitude, I would like to thank CM Devendra Fadnavisji for not just appreciating our film 'Super 30', but also declaring the film tax free in Maharashtra. It gives me immense happiness and fills me with pride to be bestowed with this honour”, Hrithik tweeted.
 
‘Super 30’ is a human drama and the story of a teacher who triumphs over the many challenges that life throws at him, to set an example for the world to see. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film released on July 12.
