#Haj2019: First Flight from India with 419 Pilgrims Reaches Madinah

Madinah, July 4: This year, a record number of 2,00,000 Haj pilgrims are going to Saudi Arabia for Haj Yatra. The first flight from India carrying 419 pilgrims reached early morning today at Madinah at 3.40 am. Indian Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Dr. Ausaf Sayeed and Consul General Md. Noor Rahman Sheikh received the Yatrees at the airport. 

 
Despite having zero subsidy, a record number of 2 lakh Indian Muslims are going to Haj through more than 500 flights from 21 embarkation points across the country. Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had ensured in the last month that safety and better facilities are the top priority of the government and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. The last flight for Haj will be on July 31 from Chennai while the first return flight from Madinah for Indian pilgrims will be on August 17.
