Andaman and Nicobar Register 100% Increase in Two Months GST Collection this Year

Port Blair, July 5: India’s famous islands Andaman and Nicobar have now become more famous, having registered 100% increase in the collection of UTGST during first two months of the current financial tear 2019-20. 
 
The UTGST (Union Territory Goods and Services Tax) is applied to Union Territories of India including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Chandigarh. The UTGST collection of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the first two months of the current financial year 2019-20 has risen to Rs. 47.37 crore from Rs. 24.85 crore during the same period last financial year. The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has thanked all the taxpayers of the territory for duly compliance.
