Lucknow, July 5: Enabling people from across the state to register their complaints, the Uttar Pradesh government launched a toll-free Chief Minister Helpline 1076 on Thursday. It will ensure time-bound action on the complaints also.

Speaking on the launch in Lok Bhawan, secretariat in state capital Lucknow today, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, he will personally review the complaints every month and if a department gets more than 100 complaints in a month, action will be taken against the concerned officials.

The Chief Minister said that people now don't need to travel to Lucknow just to lodge their complaints. He also warned that action will be taken against those who make false complaints and play mischief with the helpline.

The CM helpline number 1076 will work 24x7 and anyone from any part of the state can call on this number anytime.

The 500-seater call center has been established for the helpline and it has the capacity to handle 80,000 inbound and 55,000 outbound calls on a daily basis. When the complainant calls the helpline, he/she will get an SMS informing that the complaint has been sent to the department concerned.

Managing Director of the Call center service provider company Abhishek Gupta told AIR that a proper follow-up of the complaint will be done to make sure it is redressed and the complainant will be duly informed on his cell phone number about it.
