Honouring, saluting the sacrifices of martyrs, Army Chief releases Kargil Tribute Song

New Delhi, July 6: Neither India nor Pakistan will forget the ‘Kargil War’ of 1999. India will remember victory against neighboring country and martyrs while Pakistan will remember its loss. Today is ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ as 20 years ago India not only emerged Invictus in Kargil War against Pakistan but also witnessed the sacrifice of many soldiers who selflessly fought for the dignity of the country. Saluting and remembering the courage of the martyrs, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat has released a Kargil Tribute Song to honor, salute and pay homage to war veterans. The song was released at a function organized in New Delhi on Friday as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th of this month.


 

The song titled 'Tujhe Bhulega Na Tera Hindustan' is written by well-known lyrist Sameer. The video features Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachan, Salman Khan, Kanaga Ranaut, Arjun Rampal, Sunil Shetty, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Vicky Kaushal, and Kriti Sanon. The video also features Anupam Kher and Mary Kom.

The Year 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of victory in 'Operation Vijay', popularly known as the 'Kargil War'. The Indian Army has planned celebratory events across the country for from July 25-27.

 

Operation Vijay involved major operations to evict Pakistani intruders from Indian Territory on the icy heights of Dras, Kargil, Batalik and Turtuk.

The 20th-anniversary celebrations are aimed at remembering their sacrifice, Rejoicing in their victory and renewing the pledge to go beyond the call of duty when called upon.
