Having worked at higher positions in CBDT, Finance and Revenue, Girraj Prasad Gupta takes over as new Comptroller General of Accounts

New Delhi, August 01: Waking ahead in the novel engagement and central consultations, the Finance Ministry on Thursday moved up appointing Girraj Prasad Gupta took as the Controller General of Accounts in national capital.

 
 
Gupta, having vast and rich experience in the government at the Centre, has worked at higher positions in the Central Board of Direct Taxes, Ministry of Rural development Ministry of Finance.
 
He has however also worked as the Director of National Institute of Financial Management. “As Additional Controller General of Accounts, he is highly credited for his work in development and implementation of Public Financial Management System, a backbone IT infrastructure for Direct Benefit Transfer and other financial management modules in Government of India”, the Ministry of Finance said in relation.
 
Gupta also worked as Director of Finance on the joint venture mega hydel power project in Bhutan. The 1983 batch Indian Civil Accounts Service Officer is however slated to take teh office over from August 1, 2019.
