Bhopal, Aug 20: Development of Sanskrit language will ensure all-round development of our country, said Dinesh Kamat, All India Organizing Secretary of Sanskrit Bharati here on Monday.

Speaking as a keynote speaker at the valedictory function of the week-long Sanskrit Saptah Mahotsava organized by Sanskrit Bharati Kamat said that Sanskrit is protector and conductor of our age old tradition of knowledge and science and its development only will ensure the all-round development of our nation.

Sanskrit Bharati had organized various programs including Sanskrit speaking class, teachers’ training, etc. during the week-long initiative. Such programs were organized in India and also in 18 other countries of the world.

Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, who was the chief guest of the program, said that the Government of India was committed to the preservation and propagation of Sanskrit which is often described as ‘Deva Vani’ (the language of the Gods). She said that Sanskrit is a scientific language and urged all sections of the society to come forward to take this language to all the people.

Mahant Chandrama Das Tyagi, who presided over the function, said that Sanskrit is the medium of progress and preservation of Indian culture. The various books written in Sanskrit contain the knowledge and development of every aspect of our life. There is a need to conduct research in Sanskrit so that the society can understand the utility of this language and learn Sanskrit.

Prachar Pramukh Dr Manish Jugran made the introductory remarks. He said that Sanskrit Bharati, Bhopal unit had organized various competitions during the ‘Sanskrit Saptah’ with the help and association of various institutions. Over 100 students securing highest marks in Sanskrit were felicitated. The program was attended by over 500 strong audiences.

Dr Krishna Kant Tiwari conducted the proceedings of the program. Regional Organizing Secretary of Sanskrit Bharati Pramod Pandit, State Organizing Secretary Neeraj Dixit, Vice President Dr Ashok Bhadoria, RSS Sah Prant Sanghchalal Ashok Pandey, Prant Prachar PRamukh Dr Manish Jugran, Om Prakash Shivhare, Shiv Narayan Dwivedi, Pawan Dwivedi and others were present.
