Jammu and Kashmir returning to normalcy track; Middle schools to reopen from August 21

Srinagar, August 20: The Kashmir Valley is going back on normal track as the government has decided to reopen all middle-level schools across Kashmir valley from August 21. The decision was followed by reopening all the primary schools. This was stated by Director, Information Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar along with other senior officials during a joint media briefing in Srinagar on Monday.


 

The official said that the presence of staff at all the primary level schools was an encouraging sign and as such the administration has decided to open all middle schools across Kashmir from tomorrow. It was also informed the Civil Secretariat Srinagar recorded 98 percent attendance which is picking up rapidly in other government offices also. Meanwhile, the situation across Kashmir valley on Friday remained largely peaceful as no major law and order situation was reported from anywhere across the valley.

Meanwhile, the Police authorities have urged the people saying, “A fake news is being spread that weapons of special police officers of J&K police are being seized. This is purely a rumor being spread by vested interests. It is categorically denied”

It also added that Public at large is further advised not to believe in such rumors/ baseless news and not to further spread such news without verifying from authentic sources
