Just a call with hall of effects! After talking to PM Modi, Trump dials Imran Khan asking to moderate rhetoric over Kashmir issue

New Delhi, August 20: Underlining the need of exercising restraint by both sides and to avoid escalation of the tough situation between India and Pakistan, US President Donald Trump dialled to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan asking to moderate rhetoric over Kashmir issue.

 
 
This is immediately after PM Modi yesterday had a thirty minutes of telephonic conversation with the American president conveying the extreme rhetoric and incitement to anti-India violence by certain leaders in the region, being unconducive to peace.
This being the second less than a week , Trump spoke to Khan discussing the need to reduce tensions and moderate rhetoric with India over the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, as reported by the White House in a readout of the call.
 
In a first stance after India announced its decision on Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan's subsequent failed attempts to raise the issue in international forums, Modi on Monday highlighted the importance of creating an environment free from terror and violence and eschewing cross-border terrorism without exception.
