Bringing new dimensions to friendship! PM Modi holds bilateral talks with president of Zambia

New Delhi, August 21: “We wish to encourage bilateral trade in healthcare, tourism, agriculture, food-processing, mining, and energy. Indian diaspora in Zambia is a main thread between the two nations. We bring new spectrums in cultural exchange and capacity building. We are very happy to participate in the training of Zambian diplomats,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a bilateral talk with the President of Zambia. 

 
"Zambia is a rich country in mineral resources. India imports larger amount of copper from Zambia. An MoU between the two countries on mineral resources will further the cooperation between the two nations. It will draw an outline on the discovery and extraction of mineral resources," The Prime Minister added. 
 
The two nations also signed An MoU on defense co-operation. It will enhance the institutional exchanges in defense establishments of the two countries. The PM further informed that Indian Military and Air-force Training Team will be deployed to Zambia with an aim to further build-up the capabilities of Zambian armed forces. India will deploy five fire tenders on Zambia Air Force Bases.
