Bangalore, Aug. 22: India’s Moon Dream is just a few steps away from landing on the spot where nobody land yet. Yesterday, Chandrayaan 2 successfully performed the 2nd lunar maneuver. Today, giving us another Moon feast, Chandrayaan 2’s Vikram Lander captured first-ever Moon image.

This image also clearly showed the Mare Orientale basin and Apollo craters. 
 
As per yesterday’s ISRO’s statement about 2nd lunar maneuver, ISRO said, Each of these manoeuvers will lower the orbital altitude of Chandrayaan 2 in preparation for landing.
 
From 2nd September, all eyes will be on the lander, Dr. Sivan said, much like a bridegroom on her wedding.
 
Chandrayaan 2 is expected to make its long-awaited powered descent and landing on 7 September at 1.40 am IST.
