New Delhi, August 23: It is said that Shri Krishna will take birth again at the end of Kaliyug, when ‘Adharma’ (let’s say ‘misbehavior’) will be at its peak. However, as the wise human being, it’s the time to ask ourselves – “Do we really need Shri Krishna to take birth again…?

Lord Krishna means ‘perfection’! Perfection in everything! He is a perfect child, perfect guide, perfect lover, perfect king, perfect diplomat and a perfect god! We, as a person, also have to play many roles like student, professional, parent, citizen and many others. Today, on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Lord Krishna gives us an important message – Achieving perfection in everything! However, the main question is, How can we actually achieve the perfection. The answer itself is in the character of Shri Krishna!
We strive to get perfection in each and every role we play. In fact, there is no need to make separate efforts to achieve perfection in separate roles. The main key of perfection in anything and everything, is the perfection of ‘soul’ which Shri Krishna is the symbol of. He is said to be accomplished in 16 arts means his 'soul' possesses the 16 arts. Outside behavior is just the manifestation of the soul!

Shri Krishna put before us the true meaning of ‘religion’. True religion is the religion of the soul which reflects in love, compassion, wisdom, intelligence! His doctrine is that ‘Dharma’ should always remain at the top, even above ‘Karma’. Our Karma should always be based on a strong foundation of Dharma. If we apply this doctrine in our day to day life, the whole quality of our Karmas will change! Dharma means quality of soul. In Shri Krishna, we see this quality of the soul at its highest level.
The name Krishna itself means "karshayati iti krishnah: the one who attracts". By doing naughty things like stealing butter, milk etc. from others houses, he attracted housewives. By killing many demons he attracted his friends and all people, by helping many times he attracted many friends, by his looks and Murali gaana, he attracted many girls, and he attracted cows. Not only in his childhood, he always spread love to the right people.

In Treta yuga, people used to follow Dharma if you show them an example being who is an embodiment of it, hence Rama is maryada purushottama, who followed the right paths even by keeping his relationships aside. In Dwapara Yuga, mere showing an example was not enough, Dharma had to be taught even if it takes to punish them. That's why Krishna stood on the side of Dharma and helped Pandavas to win in Kurukshetra.
Bhagvadgeeta is the biggest gift of India to the world. It’s the most beautiful example of decision-making. When Shri Krishna taught Arjuna right in the battlefield that there is nothing wrong to kill our relatives and Gurus when they are standing before you as your enemies. By this doctrine, Shri Krishna doesn’t teach importance of killing people, but the importance of killing emotions when they are present at wrong time.

Thus, the answer of the question mentioned in the first paragraph is that Shri Krishna exists in the heart of everyone. We have to realize it! If each and every human being realizes the presence of Shri Krishna and strives for the perfection of soul by sowing the seeds of good Karma, based on a strong foundation of ‘Dharma’, then there is no need for ‘him’ to come on this earth again. It will be the true celebration of Krishna Krishna Janmashtami!
