New Delhi, August 24: As the entire nation bows and owes respect to the passing away of India’s astute parliamentarian and former finance minister Arun Jaitley, the international community also pays its tribute recalling his great efforts in boosting Indian economy and placing the country on great heights.

Evoking the immense contribution Arun Jaitley made towards the country, French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler tweeted saying, “On behalf of France, I offer our heartfelt condolences to the family & loved ones of Arun Jaitley ji. France stands with India & its people in this time of deep grief.”

Expressing dismay with the passing of India’s former Finance Minister China Ambassador to India Sun Weidong tweeted saying, “Sad to learn that former Finance Minister #ArunJaitley has passed away. My heartfelt condolences to the deceased and his family.”

Former Union Minister of Finance and a great parliamentarian Arun Jaitley was admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi on August 9. Being admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the national capital, Jaitley’s health was declared critical, as several ministers visited the hospital enquiring for his health and praying for his wellness.

Sadly, the leader breathed his last on August 24 at 12.07pm at the AIIMS hospital. The veteran BJP leader had not been keeping well for some time. Jaitley had taken a three-month sabbatical to undergo a kidney transplant last year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on Arun Jaitley’s wife and son paying condolence to the great leader. Both of them insisted that PM should not cut short his on-going foreign tour.
