This is a day after the SC on Monday awarded CBI with four more days for investigation in the case with the Congress accused P Chidambaram in custody.

The ED while in the Court, claimed Chidambaram to have properties across 12 countries in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court. Also it has claimed that the former Finance Minister has bank accounts in many countries.

The twelve countries where Chidambaram is said to have properties consist of Argentina, Austria, British Virgin Iceland, France, Greece, Malaysia, Monaco, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Spain and Sri Lanka.

Further according to the agency, Chidambaram also tried to tamper with evidence in the INX Media case against him, which is also being pursued by the CBI. "He tried to sell foreign properties and close the bank accounts", the ED said.
