New Delhi, August 27: “We want entrepreneurs to carry on with their business without a worry. Whatever be the size- small, medium, micro, nano or large entrepreneurs of this country, we want them to carry on with their business without a worry," said Finance head Nirmala Sitharaman while addressing a forum in New Delhi on Tuesday.

This is a day after the government got a record windfall from the RBI under Governor Shaktikanta Das to the tune of ₹1.76 lakh crore. She also said that the government hasn't decided on deployment of funds from the RBI adding that the tax collection targets were achievable.

Sitharaman also responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's #RBILooted jibe, "I don’t want to attach much importance to what Rahul Gandhi has said. Whenever Rahul Gandhi raises things like 'chor, chori,' one thing comes to my mind, he tried his best 'chor, chor, chori,' but public gave him befitting reply. What's the point of using the same words again?"

"I want to say that the Bimal Jalan committee had eminent experts in it. It was constituted by the RBI and not by the government. They've had several sittings and come out with a report, like earlier committees that looked into the excess capital," she further said.

Post Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approved the transfer of ₹1,76,051 crore to Centre, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday tweeted, "PM & FM are clueless about how to solve their self created economic disaster. Stealing from RBI won't work - it's like stealing a Band-Aid from the dispensary & sticking it on a gunshot wound. #RBILooted."
