Gearing up to change face of J&K, Governor Satya Pal Malik announces massive employment drive in Kashmir

Srinagar, August 29: Paving path of growth and development, the decision taken by Narendra Modi-led government for Jammu and Kashmir has seen a new dawn in the state. With immense opportunities and prospects, the Governor of J&K Satya Pal Malik on Wednesday announced a massive employment drive having 50,000 vacancies for government jobs.

 

Changing the entire perception of the state, Governor Malik also said that 50 new colleges will be built and in the coming days there will be more announcement regarding the development in J&K. Stating loud and clear that 'Kashmir will be like no other' (Kashmir itna shandar hojaega , ki Kashmir jaisa koi nahi), Governor Satya Pal Malik said, “ J&K's identity, heritage, culture will be protected, this is our promise. Preparations for Block elections have already begun.”

On the communication blackout Satya Pal Malik said that the internet shutdown in the valley is to prevent untoward activities by terror elements. Landlines have been restored in most places. He also quashed the rumours claiming that medical facilities are less. He said that all the facilities are ample and situation will be normal in the state very soon.

A high-level meeting was chaired by Union Home Secretary AK Bhalla on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by IB chief, additional secretaries and other officials. The meeting was called to discuss situation of J&K after abrogation of Article 370 and was attended by Secretaries of different Ministries of Govt of India including Finance, Law, Urban Development, Transport, Rural Development and Telecom Secretary.

The minority affairs ministry's team will visit the Kashmir valley to identify the areas where Centrally sponsored schemes could be implemented. Development possibilities like school, colleges, hospital, job etc will be reviewed.
