Arunachal boy to join PM Modi at ISRO to witness landing of Chandrayan 2

Itanagar, Aug 31: Lige Basar, a student of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Oyan, Arunachal Pradesh has been selected to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi at ISRO Bangaluru, to witness the landing of the spacecraft Chandrayan 2.

His selection was done on the basis of his excellent performance in the Chandrayan Quiz Contest held on August 18, sources said.

With his selection, the VKV Oyan has added another chapter to its glorious achievement of the past.

Vivekananda Kendra President Nivedita Bhide and other office-bearers have congratulated Lige Basar for his selection. It may be mentioned that the Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari runs schools in Arunachal Pradesh since 1977-78.

Congratulating Lige Basar for his achievement gained through painstaking and untiring efforts with the motivation and guidance of the VKV team and the organizers, the school team said: "Our happiness knew no bounds when we heard about your selection. In the reputed pages of VKV Oyan's history you could find a marvellous place".

“This is indeed a proud moment for all of us to cherish. From the enchanting land of Donyi-Polo a Takkar (Pole Star) is going to represent VKVs from Oyan to add one more feather in the golden crown of the school”, the school fraternity said.
