Gasparillo, August 9: Indian batsman Shubhman Gill, notched up an unbeaten 204 for India 'A' team in the third unofficial Test against West Indies ‘A’ at the Brian Lara Stadium today, thereby becoming the youngest Indian to score a first-class double century.

Coming in to bat with his side in a spot of bother at 14/3, Gill played a vital knock, putting up an unbeaten stand of 315 with skipper Hanuma Vihari (118*). The 19-year old right-hander played positively, hitting 19 fours and two sixes in his brisk knock.
Shubhman, who had been dismissed for a golden duck in the first innings, turned the tables in the second to help set up a stiff 373-run target for the hosts. Gill now has four 100+ scores in his 11-match first-class career, which also features seven fifties.

The record previously belonged to Gautam Gambhir, who had scored 218 for India Board President's XI against Zimbabwe in 2002 at the age of 20 years.
