New Delhi, September 12: Ever since India abrogated the Article 370, a baffled Pakistan tried all efforts to bring Kashmir issue under dark light. Highlighting misleading news on atrocities on Kashmiris, leading Muslim organisation on Thursday came out in full support of Jammu and Kashmir’s full integration with India and abrogation of Article 370 that granted special status to the state.

The Muslim organization, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH) adopted a resolution stating that Kashmir is India’s integral part and any separatist movement there would harm the local people’s interests. The resolution states that “Kashmir is an integral part of India and that all Kashmiris are our compatriots. Any separatist movement is harmful not only for the country but for people of Kashmir as well.”

The JUH further stated that the welfare of the local people of Kashmir lies in integrating with India and not separatism. The resolution slammed Pakistan and other “inimical forces” of working to destroy Kashmir. “We feel it's our national duty to protect the democratic and human rights of Kashmiri people. Nevertheless, it's our firm belief that their welfare lies in getting integrated with India. The inimical forces and neighbouring country are bent upon destroying Kashmir,” the resolution read.

JUH general secretary Mahmood Madani said, “We have passed a resolution today that Kashmir is an integral part of India. There will be no compromise with the security and integrity of our country. India is our country and we stand by it.” “Pakistan is trying to project on the international forum that India Muslims are against India, we condemn this act of Pakistan,” he added.

Issuing fake misleading news on atrocities on Kashmiris, Pakistan stooped down to all levels degrading its own stance on the international forums. It may be recalled that the Union government scrapped Article 370 of the Indian Constitution on August 5. It also got legislation passed through Parliament that divided the state into two Union Territories: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. That division will come into effect on October 31.

Pakistan’s efforts to win international support for its propaganda on Kashmir have also failed miserably; with only its all-weather ally China coming out in its support. Pakistan’s efforts at the United Nations Security Council and the UN Human Rights Council to raise Kashmir issue and win support have met with failure.
