Hyderabad, September 02: Soon after PM Narendra Modi launched the Fit India Movement, encouraging the youth to engage in the sport activities, a man in Hyderabad named Sai Deepak Patel has set a new Guinness World Record by doing 87 one leg full contact knee strikes in three minutes while wearing five-kilogram ankle weights.

Dedicating his win to the Fit India campaign, Deepak said that he also desires to dedicate his record to the Army personnel who have sacrificed their lives for the country.

The 23 year old already has two other records, being 142 full contact elbow strikes in one minute and 175 one leg full contact knee strikes in three minutes. He broke the record on April 7 after which a certificate was issued to him by the Guinness Book of World Records.

He meanwhile shared an email over the social media, received from the World records body that acknowledged his achievement and credited his Guru and grandmaster M Jayanth Reddy for the guidance that made him possible to set this record.
