The flipside of the hyped climate crusader Greta Thunberg

Last year Greta became the face of a 'school strike' outside the Swedish parliament building. But now she has dared world leaders. Greta says: 'How dare you – you have stolen my dreams and my childhood !' She has accused the "World Leaders" of ignoring the science behind the climate crisis, saying: 'We are at the beginning of mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth!

 

No question about the intellect of any kid or any activist who is in his/her teens. But the harsh bitterness and the expression of hatred in every message with crafted facial expressions is the cause of worry for all those who agree for a global policy to fight against climate change but not so impressed by the 'performances' by this child activist.

 

In her article "This Greta Thunberg thing is child abuse"  Tina Lowe writes: "The case of Greta Thunberg is more egregious. Thunberg began suffering from depression as a child, by her own admission, in part because she learned about climate change at age eight. She was later diagnosed with autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder and gradually became despondent as she obsessed over her fear of climate change. She developed mutism and an eating disorder so severe that she once went two months without food, and she stopped going to school. Her only sibling, a sister named Beata, also suffers from Asperger's and OCD, as well as ADHD."

 

Notably, Greta’s father Svante is an actor and her opera singer mother Malena has a number of professional acting credits. Greta is the older sister of her only sibling, Beata. Both Greta and her sister have been diagnosed with autism and ADHD. Beata also has OCD and has been open about her experience dealing with her conditions, as well as bullying. Greta is a victim of Asperger syndrome.

 

It was predictable and apparat that the firebrand hyped climate activists like Greta would attack US President Donald Trump who is already on the radar of many for various reasons but, attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has been admired and being respected for his steps for social change, clean energy and rivers cleaning programmes like Namami Gange.. is something unusual and suspicious. Is there anyone behind Great? If yes, then what are their motives and intentions? Why a young girl like Great is speaking a language of disrespect and hate?

"Dear Mr Modi, you need to take action now against the climate crisis, not just talking about it because if you keep going on like this, doing business as usual, and just talking about and bragging about the little victories, you are going to fail. And if you fail, you are going to be seen as one of the worst villains in human history in the future. And you don't want that," said the young climate activist.
