Reviewing floods owing to heavy rainfall in past weeks, Karnataka CM visits Mumbai reaching MH CM

Mumbai, August 03: While on a half day visit to the state of Maharashtra, Karnataka CM Yediyurappa met MH CM Devendra Fadnavis at Varsha, the CM's residence at Malabar Hill in Mumbai where BJP MLC Prasad Lad, a close aide of Fadnavis, received BSY at the Mumbai airport.

 
 
After landing, the Karnataka CM visited the Siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha. While no details of the formal meeting are available, the two leaders expectedly discussed the floods that the two states faced.
 
Thereafter, a formal meeting has been scheduled in Mantralaya, the state secretariat. After the meeting, the duo are slated to visit Lalbaug-cha-Raja to seek blessings of Lord Ganesh.
 
Maharashtra and Karnataka have been dealing with floods owing to heavy rainfall in the past week. Yediyurappa had earlier wrote to his counterpart Fadnavis claiming the release from the Koyna reservoir leading to an alarming situation in the districts of Belagavi, Vijayapura, Raichur, Kalburgi and Yadgir.
