Prefect to monitor teachers! CM Yogi launches 'Prerna App' to apply for leaves

Lucknow, September 5: In order to bring more transparency in government schools, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is starting the system of online leave application. The state government is coming up with an app that will help teachers, assistants and other employees bring transparency in many other matters besides applying online for holidays. The existing system will remain in force till September 30, after which teachers will have to apply for the holidays online. The state government has also informed the central government about its best educational reforms. There is a discussion over the sharing of best practices with other state governments.


 

According to sources, in case of Single Day Casual Leave (CL) in the state, school staff will have to apply through Prerna App. The Block Education Officer (BEO) will have to approve the leave after the application is uploaded. If the BEOs does not approve the leave, this leave will be accepted. If casual leave is more than four days, approval of BEO is required. When the teachers of single teacher schools go on leave, the Block Education Officer will have to arrange for another teacher. For medical leave, this app will have the option to upload medical certificate online along with the application.

 

Teachers will also be required to upload group photos of students at school start, lunch time and school closing time. Female teachers are not obligated to upload selfies with male teachers, they can upload selfies separately to register their attendance at school.
