Geneva, September 9: As Pakistan was busy peddling fake news about atrocities in Kashmir region in India, it forgot how much atrocities it has done on Balochistan. Highlighting the same, posters and banners of human rights violation in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were appeared in front of the United Nations office here during the 42nd session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The 42nd session of the UN Human Rights Council started on Monday. Interestingly, the Baloch Human Rights Council, which has been highlighting the issue of extra-judicial killings, torture and abductions of political activists in Pakistan's Balochistan province, has also launched the '#PakistanStopGenocide' campaign to seek international attention on the issue. Balochistan has been very active and has been crying for justice from the reigns of Pakistan for a long time.

Also, a massive tent has been set up at Broken Chair outside the UN in Geneva where a special documentary on Baloch genocide will be screened. Several meetings will also be held in the tent in which human rights activists, Members of European Parliament and other NGOs will participate.

The hold of Pakistan and its army on Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has created chaos in the region. Exploiting their natural resources, Pakistan has done no development in the region. Moreover, Pakistan’s double standard was openly exposed before the international frontier and a replica of the same was seen when Baloch activists interrupted Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech on his visit to the United States.

The atrocities and violence pondered on the people of Balochistan has been quite evident as the activists are raising their voice for justice. Similarly, a group of Baloch youths raised slogans against Pakistan and in favour of an independent Balochistan in the US stadium.
