“OMG! Yeh Hai Mera India”; PM Modi congratulates 16 year old jewel for passing "Mahapariksha"

New Delhi, September 9: India is country with so many jewels which makes everyone to say “OMG! Yeh Hai Mera India.” One such story of proud is of congratulated a 16-year-old boy for becoming the youngest student to pass the "Mahapariksha" examination. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Priyavrata saying, "Excellent! Congratulations to Priyavrata for this feat. His achievement will serve as a source of inspiration for many!" PM Modi tweeted.


 

PM Modi was replying to a tweet that said: "History was created yesterday by 16-year-old Priyavrata son of Smt Aparna and Sri Devadatta Patil While studying Veda and Nyaya from his father, he studied all Vyakarana Maha Granthas from Sri Mohana Sharma and passed 14 levels of Tenali Pariksha, Youngest to pass the MahaPariksha."

The Tenali examination having 14 levels is taken twice a year by the students studying the "Shastras".The students studying the scriptures are the participants of this exam. Since 2015, the Indic Academy supports the Tenali exam. This institute functions like an open university. It helps about 40 students to study various scriptures. Under this, the disciples in the country learn at their Gruha Gurukulam system.

 

Every 6 months, the Guru along with his disciples visits Kanchi Math to attend the written and oral half-term tests of the Tenali examination. After 5 to 6 years of study, the Mahapariksha takes place in the Kanchi Math. Students are recognized after passing the examination. Tenali examination is very popular in the field of the study of scriptures in the last 40 years.
