Towards sustainable partnership! Petroleum Minister holds energy-talks with gulf nations

Abu Dhabi, September 9: Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan today arrived in UAE on second leg of his tour to participate in 8th Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable (AMER) at Abu Dhabi, where India is the cohost along with UAE. 

Saying that India & UAE have accomplished some historical milestones in the O&G sector under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and President of UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Minister reiterated to take this friendship forward and work together on mutually aligned priorities. He also discussed enhancing India’s upstream footprints in UAE & mutual investments in the entire oil and gas value chain in both our countries.
Dharmendra Pradhan met with captains of major oil and gas, petroleum companies in the UAE and had a healthy exchange on further deepening bilateral trade and investment in the energy sector. He held a meeting with representatives of steel industry of UAE in Dubai and discussed realizing trade potential between two countries in the steel sector. The Minister also invited them to invest in the Indian steel sector. Both countries discussed enhancing India’s upstream footprints in UAE & mutual investments in the entire oil and gas value chain in both countries.
Before his visit to UAE, The Petroleum Minister visited Saudi Arabia one day ago where he met the newly appointed Saudi Minister of Energy HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman in Jeddah and renewed his earlier acquaintance with him during his previous assignments with Saudi Ministry of Energy. Saudi Minister reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to remain a reliable and sustainable partner in hydrocarbon supplies and also on Saudi investments in India.
