Involved in creating disruption in Punjab, Bengaluru Police apprehends alleged Khalistan supporter

New Delhi, January 13: Keeping a vigilant eye on terror activities surfacing in India, in a latest, an alleged Khalistani supporter was apprehended by Bangalore by Punjab Police. The accused Jarnail Singh Sandhu had been living in paying guest accommodation and working in a local company. Police officials have informed that Sandhu was part of a team to create disturbance in Punjab.

The arrest was made by the Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru Police who said the accused had fled Punjab and was hiding in Bengaluru. The suspect Jarnail Singh was living in Sampigehalli for the last four months and was working in a software company.

Punjab Police informed Bengaluru police after receiving a tip-off about Singh's whereabouts. After investigation on Saturday, the CCB arrested Singh from his residence and handed over to the team of Punjab Police. The Punjab police had approached us about Jarnail Singh, who was wanted by them. We traced him and handed him over to the Punjab Police," a police officer told.
