Dehradun, January 2: The Forest Research Center is now working on identifying those species which may have difficulty in exiting the natural site. Many species in the higher Himalayan region have previously been preserved in the plains, but due to the rarity of these floras, they will be saved and enhanced by siege at the original site. They currently exist at 2700 to 4000 meters altitude. Due to their medicinal value, they are also exploited in large quantities. In such a situation, it will also be necessary for the Center to tackle this challenge.

The job of the Forest Research Center is to identify rare flora and preserve them. Research is also done to authentically prove their importance. Badri Tulsi, which was earlier found around Badrinath, has been preserved by the Center in Lalkuan. Apart from being medicinal and rare, species of religious importance are also being saved. Data is now being prepared for the species found in the Himalayan range in Pithoragarh, Chamoli, and Uttarkashi, which have to be protected on natural habitat.

According to officials of the Forest Research Center, Salam Panj, Jatamansi, two species of Ashtavarga Kakali and Chheer Kakoli are found in these three districts, besides Nag Damayanti and Vanasatuva are rare species. They are considered effective in increasing stomach related, respiratory disease and immunity.

After marking the location, that area will be fed into the GPS system. The focus will be on safety and surveillance so that evidence of every small change in the species can also be found. In the plains, the grass called Lantana is considered fatal to the local flora. The species that would pose a threat to these Himalayan floras would also be marked.
