This is after the Uttar Pradesh CM last month recovered the damages caused to the public property amid the CAA protests from individuals in the state. According to police sources, the Vadodara police would recover the loss due to damage to vehicles worth of Rs 40 thousand from the accused of the stone pelting incident in Hathikhana area.

More than 25 accused have been arrested in connection with the violent incident in the city after the residents of the locality raised objections to police shooting a video outside the mosque.

A mob confronted the police over the videography and started pelting stones, while shouting slogans against the citizenship amendment act. The police fired some rounds in air and lobbed tear gas shells to control the situation. Damage to the public property was also caused in Shah e Alam area of Ahmedabad city on 19th December, when large mob turned violent and started stone pelting on police.
