In its statement, the MEA has seen ‘strongly’ condemning the ‘targeted killing of minority Sikh community’. MEA asked Islamabad to stop "prevaricating and take immediate action to apprehend and give exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of these heinous acts." The statement added, “India calls upon the Government of Pakistan to stop prevaricating and take immediate action to apprehend and give exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of these heinous acts.” The statement came hours after Pakistan media reported that a 25-year-old Sikh youth, later identified as Ravinder Singh, has been killed by an unidentified person in Peshawar. The body was found in the area of Chamkani police station.

There has been a sudden spike in attacks on the Sikh community which is in minority in Pakistan. Just days ago, a Muslim mob had vandalised the holy Nankana Sahib Gurudwara in Punjab province of Pakistan. India condemned the incident and asked Pakistan to take immediate steps to ensure the safety, security and well-being of the Sikh community.

Speaking about atrocities on people in Kashmir by its false and fake news propaganda at international platform, Pakistan has been deliberately trying to malign India. However, seldom they know that doing this is backfiring on Pakistan as their violence on minorities have come out evidently. With the recent attack on Sikh youth and also the Gurdwara, Pakistan has duly exhibited how insensitive and inhuman the country came be towards protecting minorities.
