Coimbatore. Jan 7: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is contemplating on plans for organizational expansion throughout the country. The VHP has units in 29 countries across the globe besides a network of 60,000 branches in India and a membership of ‘Hitchantak’ around 30 lakh to support its multi-faceted activities.

In a press statement issued before the just concluded two-day meeting of the VHP here Milind Parande, VHP Secretary General said that the VHP was conducting over one lakh service projects in the fields of healthcare, education, women empowerment, skill development, etc.

He said that the meeting would deliberate on ways and means to expand its organizational network and service projects in South Tamil Nadu. The VHP will work to contain rampant conversion activities of the Christian missionaries in Tamil Nadu, Parande said.

Hailing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as an effective instrument for correcting historical wrongs that have been done at the time of partition of the country, Parande said that it promises to provide citizenship to those minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan who were forced to undergo religious atrocities.

The CAA will give citizenship and protection to these non-Muslim minorities. The Islamic countries do not have Muslims religious minorities. Also CAA does not concern the Indian Muslims. It deals with non-Muslim minorities of only 3 Islamic countries. So, it is non-discriminative for Indian Muslims. The premeditated senseless and ill motivated wanton street violence as well as the destruction of national properties in states like West Bengal, Uttar pradesh, Karnataka in the name of opposing CAA is unacceptable and condemnable, Prande said.

Condemning attack on Nankana Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan the VHP Secretary General said that this attack by a Muslim mob and abduction of the daughter of the Granthi were two incidents to point to the kind of atrocities the minorities are subjected to endure in these Islamic countries.

The VHP condemned this attack and appealed to the Government of India and the UNHRC to take cognizance of this attack and force the Pakistani Government to mend its ways and return the Sikh girl to her relatives.

Parande further said that as this act deals specially with effects of partition of India only it does not deal with the problem of Sri Lankan Hindus. A separate act will be needed for them, he added.

The VHP plans district-level agitations to expose the anti-Hindu policies of governments of Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana Governments. The illegal take over and distribution of lands of temples, employment and involvement of non-Hindus in Hindu temple administration and employment in Tirupati and Srisailam, payment of moulvis and pastors from the general taxpayers money, wholesale appointment of Christians only in government jobs is not only anti-Hindu but also unconstitutional and illegal. In the month of January, Vishva Hindu Parishad will conduct demonstrations in every district in the country and conduct a long term agitations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

After the Supreme Court verdict in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi case, the VHP is assured that the central government will form the trust within the stipulated time for the construction of grand Shri Rama temple in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi sthan.

Vishva Hindu Parishad will undertake huge Ram Mahotsav programs including Rath Yatras & big congregations up to village level in March - April 2020, the VHP Press statement said.
