Patna, Oct 13 : The newly announced list of Congress candidates for first phase of Bihar election 2020 consists of no minority candidates. The voters have become vocal about the fact that the party has lost the confidence of minority voters, which is clearly visible in their ticket distribution.

Senior Bihar Congress leader Prem Chand Mishra has said about this, "Due to compulsion of coalition we had only 27 seats but in second and third phase which is left, in that minority candidates will be preferred." However, this has not satisfied the minorities of Bihar and Muslim voters are getting vocal about the changing relation between Congress and minorities.

A local muslim resident said, "Congress has lost confidence because they have not won many seats from here and JDU, LJP, RJD got the seats. Muslim also prefer them. Now only by Congress' support many parties make government hence people of Bihar do not have confidence in Congress party."

Another voter from Patna, Aas Mohammed has said in the similar tone, "Congress thinks minorities are like bonded labourers and believes that people will do as the party thinks. Every one can see the way they have treated minorities. Now voters are smart enough to take their step."

Opposing parties grabbed the chance to attack the party and JDU leader Ajay Alok said that his party has catered to minorities and will take them along. "Those who claim to be champions of secularism and accusing others to be communal didn't even spare a single seat whereas we have provided them 10 per cent of the total seats announced." Alok has also questioned the party that "How are they planning to prosper excluding 16 per cent of the state's population?"

With hardly a month left for Bihar elections, things are catching fire rapidly among political parties. The voting has been scheduled in three phases on Oct 28, Nov 3 and Nov 7 respectively and the results will be announced on Nov 10.
