Maha BJP leader demands to implement SOP for safety of women at quarantine centres

Mumbai, Oct 6: In order to ensure the safety of women at quarantine centers, Maharashtra BJP vice president Chitra Wagh met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. She demanded that the Uddhav Thackeray-led government should implement an SOP for the safety and security of women at COVID and quarantine centers in the state.

In a tweet, Chitra Wagh said that she met the governor and home minister and discussed to implement an SOP in the state for the safety and security of women at COVID and quarantine centers in the state. Wagh also said if their demands are not fulfilled then BJP will begin statewide agitation over the issue.
 
 
Chitra Wagh had earlier alleged that there were rape and molestation cases at quarantine centers in the state. Chitra has claimed that rape and molestation cases at quarantine centers are as frequent as ever." Rape and Molestation Cases at Quarantine Centers are as frequent as ever, Even after demanding an SOP we haven't received it yet Sir Maharashtra is tolerating!!" she had said in a tweet on October 2.
 
Further, Chitra Wagh also added, "CM Sir, If you are not aware abt r state issues, let me inform you Since Yesterday - 1)Gang Rape in Nagpur 2)A lady found dead in a gutter at Vikhroli 3)A Police officer rapes a women in Ahmednagar And Today 1)A Police officer rapes a women in Nagpur, Sir Maharashtra is TOLERATING!"
