DC Innings:

DC openers were off to a flying start as Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw went against the pacers. Both of them targeted Saini, however, birthday-boy Washington Sundar bowled a tight overs. The DC duo further took on Yuzvendra Chahal in the fifth over as DC brought up their fifty before the end of the powerplay. Further, when DC completed the powerplay, 63 runs were already registered on the board.

Mohammed Siraj, playing his first game of the IPL 2020, broke the Shaw-Dhawan stand, dismissing the right-hander for 42 in the 7th over. Wickets started to fell off frequently until Marcus Stoinis came on the crease. Though Pant was dismissed, Stoinis did not miss out to go against the bowlers. His spectacular performance helped him to bring up his second fifty of the season in the same over to take DC past 180. The final over bowled by Udana went for 12 runs as DC eventually posted 196/4 on the board.

RCB Innings:

In the chase, Aaron Finch was nearly caught but Kagiso Rabada dropped a catch and more luck came towards Finch as Dhawan could not hold on to a sharp chance off Anrich Nortje’s bowling. However, the lucky streak did not favured RCN as both the openers were dismissed. So was in form-AB de Villiers, who was a wicket. While Moeen Ali and Virat added 33 runs together, DC managed did not concede any easy runs.
The partnership was broken by Axar as he got out Moeen Ali for 11 in the 12th over to complete his fine bowling effort, conceding just 18 runs from 4 overs to pick 2 wickets. Rabada then struck big and got the wicket of Virat Kohli and Sundar was the next man to get out as Rabada picked his second wicket of the match. Wickets fell and DC bowlers restricted RCB to 137/9 and sealed the second biggest win of the IPL 2020.
RCB has been lacking in the fielding and death bowling as mentioned by the skipper, Virat Kohli. This year, the chasing which was a big asset for RCB has also been lacking with Virat not playing consistently. As for DC, it has been an all-round performance which has led them to top the tables. However, the form of the skipper Shreyas Iyer has been a concern for the last few matches.
Brief Scores: Delhi Capitals 196/4 (Marcus Stoinis 53*, Prithvi Shaw 42*; Mohammed Siraj 2/34) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore 137/9 (Virat Kohli 43, Washington Sundar 17; Kagiso Rabada 4/24) by 59 runs.
