Haryana's EDUSAT for continuation of Undergraduate Education

Chandigarh, Oct 7 : In order to continue education of undergraduate students, Haryana government has decided to launch EDUSAT telecasts of important lectures. The teaching faculties had been asked to prepare videos in this regard few months back and the decision was already in process, whereas it has been implemented since Oct 5.

Initially the government had facilitated education through television for students studying in standards 1 to 12 and preparations were in progress for the lectures of undergraduate students. The government had begun the initiative with online lectures through an agreement with Jio tv. It was later known that many students were not able to afford devices to connect to the lectures on Jio tv. Many of the students were managed to be provided the devices to solve this problem. However, since a few marginalized students weren't yet effectively involved in the process, the government has decided to telecast the lectures on tv channels as well.
 
In a recent advancement, this facility of video telecasts of lectures is now extended to undergraduate students as well. According to the recent notice issued by the state government, these lectures will be held for a duration of 35 mins each on the Utkarsh Higher Education Channel on Jio tv. The government has issued schedule for the first week. The lectures are also available on Cable and DTH Networks on Channel 4.
 
Colleges have been asked to create awareness among the students about the video lecture telecast programme and ask them to attend the lectures. Every session has been created with a short evaluation yest in the end which the students are expected to solve and submit to their respective teachers. Further the colleges have been asked to create a report regarding the participation of students in the video lectures and the tests and submit it later.
