New Delhi, February 12: Amid AAP's massive celebrations in the Delhi Assembly Elections, winning over 62 seats of 70 total yesterday, the party faced traumatic blow after four rounds of bullets shot at AAP MLA’s vehicle in Mehrauli area forced a party worker to breath last.

The Delhi Police on Wednesday registered an FIR in connection with the firing incident at AAP MLA NareshYadav's convoy and asserted that all angles were being probed. "A person was killed after some unidentified people opened fire at AAP MLA NareshYadav ’s convoy in southwest Delhi ’s Kishangarh village on late Tuesday night", the police said.

"The incident is really unfortunate. I don't know the reason behind the attack but it happened all of a sudden. Around 4 rounds were fired. The vehicle I was in was attacked. I am sure if Police inquires properly they will be able to identify the assailant", said Naresh Yadav.
AAP’s official handle tweeted, “Shots fired at MLA Naresh Yadav and the volunteers while they were on way back from temple. At least one volunteer has passed away due to bullet wounds, another is injured". This is the second time Yadav has won from Mehrauli.
 
However, the Delhi Police in its statement on Wednesday added that the MLA Yadav was not at target, but the AAP worker who list his life, Ashok Mann, was at target. "We are investigating the incident further", it added. The volunteer, Ashok Mann, was taken to Fortis Hospital, where he died. Another volunteer, Harinder, was also injured, police said. Hospital authorities confirmed that two people had been admitted but gave no other details.
