'It is up to India', US President denies to interfere in ongoing violence in Delhi and the CAA

New Delhi, February 25: India and the US signed three agreements in health and oil sectors on Tuesday, the second day of the US President's visit to India. While a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on mental health between the health departments of the countries, the duo also signed another memorandum on the safety of medical products, as represented by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization with the US Food and Drug Administration.

Further, a letter of cooperation was signed between Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Exxon Mobil India LNG Limited and Chart Industries Inc, US. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced a slew of strategic partnerships between the two nations at a joint press meet here.
Stressing on ongoing violence in Delhi and the CAA, US President said, "We did talk about religious freedom. PM Modi said he wants people to have religious freedom. They have worked really hard on it. I heard about the individual attacks but I did not discuss it. It is up to India".

Meanwhile on Trump's doctrine on fighting Islamic fundamental radicalism, he said that PM Modi has done commendable work in this area. "US has eliminated Baghdadi and struck ISIS at its foundation", Trump said urging other countries as well to act in this direction.
 
President Trump addressing media further said that US is very close to strike a deal of peace with Taliban. He said, this matter was discussed with Prime Minister Modi in the bilateral meeting. This move will help India's investment initiative in Afghanistan. US President Trump and First Lady arrived in India yesterday for the 'Namaste Trump' event in Ahmedabad. Later today in the morning, the duo accompanied by Ministers paid tributes to the Father of Nation in Rajghat in New Delhi.
