RSS to activate 1.5 million cadre for positive social change: Arun Kumar

Bengaluru, Mar 13: The Rashtriya Swayamasevak Sangh (RSS) will activate nearly 1.5 million of its cadre to serve the needs of the society in their respective fields of interest to bring a positive transformation in the society, said Arun Kumar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of RSS here today.

Addressing the reporters ahead of the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting scheduled to be held here from 15-17 March 2020, Arun Kumar said that a survey of swayamsevaks above the age of 30 was conducted in which 1.5 million participated. The survey collected information about their time availability, skills, and interest areas. This information will now be utilized to activate them for positive social transformation, Arun Kumar said.

The ABPS is the highest decision-making body of RSS and this year around 1500 elected representatives of RSS and associate organizations are expected to participate in this meeting.

The Sangh has divided the geographical area of India into 11 zones called Kshetras in RSS parlance and 44 smaller units called Prants for easy working. Sanghachalaks and other office-bearers of 35 associate organizations like the VHP, ABVP, BMS, Vidya Bharati, etc. will be attending the meeting.

Prominent among them are Justice V S Kokje and Alok Kumar (VHP), Prof Subbbaiah Shanmugam (ABVP), Saji Narayanan (BMS), Ramakrishna Rao (Vidya Bharati), Jagdev Rao Oraon (Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram), Dayal SinghPawar (Sakshama) besides others.

The Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) of RSS will be meeting on the 14th to finalize the resolutions to be proposed at the ABPS.

The ABPS will formally be inaugurated on March 15 at 8.30 am with the opening remarks of Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Suresh alias Bhayyaji Joshi.

The APBS is expected to review the last year’s plan implementation and sharing of experiences and achievements and decide next year’s priorities, tour program of Akhil Bharatiya Adhikaris and schedule of summer training camps known as Sangh Shiksha Varg (SSV).

Narendra Thakur Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh, Na Thippeswamy Kshetra Karyavah of the Dakshina Madhya Kshetra (Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana), Pradeep, Karnataka Dakshina Prant Prachar Pramukh were present.
