Palampur, March 18: Catering to the increasing demand for cleansing products such as hand sanitizer amid the coronavirus chaos in India, the scientists at CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR-IHBT) in Palampur have produced a 'novel hand-sanitizer' without any usage of chemical products.

"The newly developed sanitizer consists of natural flavours, active tea constituents and alcohol content which have been used as per guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). No chemicals such as parabens, triclosan, synthetic fragrance and phthalates are used in this product" , stated Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director of IHBT.
"Due to the sudden increase in demand for sanitizer in the market, its arbitrary prices are being charged. In the view of current increase in demand for the right product, this hand sanitizer has been developed at an appropriate time", he added. Palampur based company company M/s A.B. Scientific Solutions will be given these new sanitizers for the commerical production as per the agreement that has been signed between CSIR-IHBT and the company.
