RSS supports PM's ‘Janata Curfew’ to deal with Coronavirus

New Delhi, Mar 21: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has come out in full support of the government in its efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus, and appealed to the people to participate in the March 22 'Janata Curfew' to break the chain of the virus.

It may be mentioned that the Prime Minister has in his address to the Nation on March Wednesday appealed to the people to follow ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22. He also gave the mantra of ‘Resolve’ and ‘Restraint’ to the people to ward off the coronavirus.

In a message, RSS Sarkaryaawah Suresh alias Bhayyaji Joshi said that the RSS welcomed and supported the steps taken by the Prime Minister to arrest the further spread of the COVID-19.

He appealed to all swayamsevaks of RSS to prepare their family members and society in support of all the efforts including the March 22 ‘Janata Curfew’ taken by the government to contain the outbreak of the coronavirus and play their role in facing this challenge.

Meanwhile, senior RSS functionary and patron of various social organizations including the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) Indresh Kumar congratulated the Prime Minister for his novel idea of ‘Janata Curfew’.

In a message Indresh Kumar said that the Prime Minister has given a new definition to this concept of curfew which otherwise would be associated with police efforts to quell riots, violence, etc. by applying force.

This is the ‘self-imposed discipline by the public, Indresh Kumar said adding that all citizens rising above the differences of rich and poor, literate-illiterate, religious, social, caste etc. will be unitedly presenting a beautiful example of what ‘restraint and resolve’ mantra can do miracles.
